Earlier this year I applied for and was awarded the higher education academy Associate fellowship (AFHEA). I have taught extensively in both Geography and Medicine over the past two years, in both tutor and demonstrator roles. The qualification is official recognition that the wide range of teaching and demonstrating roles I have been involved in demonstrate specific aspects of effective teaching, learning support methods and student assessment. As well as showing commitment to appropriate professional development in facilitating others’ learning.
